Local market and deli Laurel Market has plans to relocate in light of planned redevelopment of their current location along Cherokee Road. The new location will be a 3,500-square-foot space at 1900 East Seventh St., according to reporting by the Charlotte Business Journal.

The family-operated neighborhood market and deli has become known for its made-to-order sandwiches and salads. Sandwich offerings include The Traveler (prosciutto, capicola, salami, manchego cheese and arugula), The Laurel Market (apple- smoked bacon, two eggs and cheese) and Roast Beef (with deli mustard, Jarlsberg cheese, red onion, tomato, lettuce, horseradish and mayo on rye). In addition to breakfast and lunch sandwiches, the spot offers soups and sides such as macaroni salad and herbed quinoa salad.

The new space is expected to be larger and will have a wine bar, according to the Business Journal.

Details on buildout and opening timeline have not been announced yet. What Now Charlotte has reached out to ownership for more information.
