Southern Italian restaurant and pizzeria Doppio Zero is set to open a new location in Livermore, according to a liquor license permit application. A Doppio Zero representative confirmed that the restaurant is targeting a summer 2026 opening on 23 S Livermore Ave.
Co-founders Gianni Chiloiro and Angelo Sannino opened Doppio Zero in 2014 in Mountain View, drawing from their experiences growing up in Southern Italy and using their veteran industry knowledge to bring authentic Southern Italian cuisine to the Bay Area. They slowly expanded over the next decade, currently operating five restaurants around the Bay. What Now San Francisco reported on Doppio Zero’s Campbell opening in 2023.
Throughout its gradual expansion, Doppio Zero also garnered acclaim for its Neapolitan pizzas, landing on the San Francisco Chronicle’s list of the best pizzas in the East Bay, earning mentions in the Michelin Guide and placing 20th in 50 Top Pizza’s Best Artisan Chains in the World in 2025.
Doppio Zero also announced a new location in Downtown Walnut Creek in an Instagram post earlier this year on 1522 N Main Street. The restaurant is aiming for a spring 2026 opening. “We can’t wait to welcome you to the table,” the post reads.
