Journey to the Dumpling is officially bringing its signature dumplings to Folsom’s Palladio at Broadstone.
In November, What Now Sacramento reported that the restaurant was planning to open its third location at the center, though the exact address hadn’t been confirmed. That detail is now official: the eatery will take over the current Red Robin space at 360 Palladio Pkwy, Suite 401, according to the Sacramento Business Journal.
A longtime tenant at the center, Red Robin is slated to close its doors on January 25, 2026, though five other Red Robin locations will remain open in the area.
“Journey to the Dumpling has proven themselves over the years with great food and service and a solid reputation,” Palladio general manager Gloria Wright previously told ABC10. “It is a niche we don’t offer here at Palladio, making it a strong fit for the center.”
Yvonne and Chris Tan founded Journey to the Dumpling in 2016, later expanding to Midtown in 2023. The menu focuses on soup dumplings as well as a full selection of Chinese favorites, including Peking-style roast duck, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Pork Chop Fried Rice. With a spacious 5,000-square-foot layout, the upcoming Folsom location will be the largest yet, featuring a full bar and some menu items exclusive to this outpost.
The restaurant confirmed the news on social media, writing: “Secret’s out! We’re officially taking over the Red Robin at Folsom Palladio (@gopalladio)! Stay tuned for more updates & more exciting news this year!
”
Slated to open toward the end of 2026, Journey to the Dumpling will join a growing roster of restaurants at the Palladio, which is also welcoming Pandora on January 13, Yard House on February 8, and several spring openings, including DeVons Jewelers, LOFT, Dumont Creamery, and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
