Pho Viet is set to open in the Long Farm Village development in Baton Rouge, first reported by The Acadiana Advocate. The restaurant will occupy a 2,000 square-foot space on 9555 Antioch Rd.
The upcoming Baton Rouge location is the latest addition to a growing group of Vietnamese restaurants that husband-and-wife co-owners Chau Huynh and Tam Nguyen have built over a decade, which began in 2017 with Bao Vietnamese Kitchen in Baton Rouge. Most recently, What Now New Orleans reported that the pair were opening Nammii in mid-February — a restaurant inspired by Vietnam and Hong Kong in the 90s — serving traditional Vietnamese food with some dim sum options.
Huynh and Nguyen first opened Pho Viet in 2022 in Gonzalez. While the duo’s other restaurants have a greater variety of options, Pho Viet really hones in on its namesake, offering a great variety of pho and other broth-based dishes, like bo kho, a Vietnamese beef stew.
Pho Viet is part of an initial wave of restaurants opening in the Long Farm Village development, joining an existing Five Guys alongside a Cheba Hut. Long Farm Village founder Russell Mosley told The Advocate, “People are ready to execute on deals.”
According to Nguyen, the upcoming Pho Viet is aiming for a November 2026 opening.
