The wait for a hotly anticipated new nautically-themed DC restaurant is nearly over. Wheelhouse, a fresh concept from the Georgetown Events Hospitality Group, is opening its doors this spring, reports Bethesda Today.
The American restaurant will be opening in a 4,500 square foot space at 5712-14 Connecticut Avenue. While a precise opening date is not available, the countdown to Wheelhouse’s opening is officially on. Georgetown Events Hospitality Group anticipates being customer ready by the end of April.
The founder and CEO of Georgetown Events Hospitality Group Bo Blair describes the care that has gone into developing Wheelhouse, saying: “We wanted to kind of create something very similar to what we did with Millie’s in Spring Valley in Chevy Chase. So, we finally were able to find a spot that we liked. We’ve been under construction for about six months now, and everything’s going well.”
The restaurant, which will also feature a patio dining section, will focus on classic American comfort food-think burgers, sandwiches, and soups, alongside seafood options.
