A Silver Spring concept is preparing for a full circle moment. Palisades Lounge will be re-opening in its old Georgia Avenue home and has a liquor license application submitted to speed its comeback.
Palisades will be returning to 8211 Georgia Avenue, a space it previously occupied beginning in 2019. In the interim, the Elysium Lounge has opened and closed in the storefront.
Palisades Lounge’s liquor license application, submitted to the State of Maryland, Montgomery County, fills in some details about what the concept will be bringing to the neighborhood. Described as an “Ethio-American food restaurant”, the establishment will span a total of 5,020 square feet across two floors. The first floor will be afforded 3,157 square feet, while another 1,563 square feet will be dedicated to a rooftop deck. Palisades will be able to accommodate up to 160 guests.
Though Palisades Lounge does not yet have an opening date, once it is ready to greet customers its hours of operation will be Sunday through Thursday from 9am to 2am, and 9am to 3am on Friday and Saturday.
