A longtime Northern California destination for bánh mì and pho is preparing to return to Rancho Cordova.
Huong Lan Sandwiches is taking over the former site of Fiesta Philippines at 11088 Olson Drive, Suite A, according to a fictitious business statement. Once open, the shop will reintroduce the Vietnamese sandwich eatery to the area after its previous Rancho Cordova location on Folsom Blvd closed roughly three years ago.
The upcoming outpost will join at least five existing locations across Northern California, with restaurants currently operating in San Jose, Sacramento, Folsom, Stockton, and Newark.
As its name suggests, Huong Lam Sandwiches specializes in authentic bánh mì. Guests can choose from more than a dozen varieties—17 in total—ranging from classic steamed pork and fish patties to vegetarian and beef teriyaki options, all layered with pickled vegetables, herbs, and house sauces on crisp Vietnamese baguettes.
Beyond sandwiches, Huong Lan’s menu also features comforting bowls of pho and other Vietnamese noodle soups, along with vermicelli bowls, rice plates, and beef stews. The lineup is rounded out with appetizers like egg rolls and fresh spring rolls, plus a selection of boba drinks and other beverages.
“We’re proud to serve high-quality, traditional Vietnamese cuisine made fresh and full of flavor,” reads the eatery’s website. “Warm up with a comforting bowl of pho, our rich and heartwarming noodle soup. Craving something handheld? Try our famous bánh mì— a sandwich like no other, layered with savory meats, crisp vegetables, and vibrant herbs on a perfectly baked baguette. And if you’re extra hungry, our hot combination plates are packed with delicious variety.”
