In January, What Now Sacramento reported that miniature doughnut franchise Dapper Doughnut would be expanding into Rocklin. Now, the Las Vegas-based company appears to be opening a second Northern California location in Elk Grove.
The new shop will occupy roughly 1,300 square feet in the Elk Grove Commons retail center at the corner of Elk Grove Boulevard and Bruceville Road, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. While the exact opening date is still under wraps, the brand’s website confirms that both a Dapper Doughnut storefront and food trailer are “coming soon” to the city.
While local franchisee Jasreet Barn could not be reached for comment, she previously shared that she has committed to a 10-territory, non-exclusive development plan across Northern California. These territories cover Sacramento, Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Davis, Elk Grove, Manteca, Livermore, San Jose, and San Francisco, with each location supporting both a retail storefront and a mobile food trailer.
Founded in 2015, Dapper Doughnut has built a reputation for its fresh-to-order mini doughnuts in a range of traditional and inventive flavors, from Powdered Sugar and Chocolate Glaze to S’mores and Sticky Pretzel. The menu also features the chain’s signature Doughnut Milkshakes, doughnut ice creams, and premium espresso-based beverages.
Danny Grammenopoulos, president of Dapper Doughnut, previously noted that construction is already underway at the Rocklin site; Elk Grove’s debut could follow soon after.
