A San Francisco pizza restaurant has been ordered to close following a recent health inspection on April 6. The San Francisco Department of Public Health, Environmental Health Branch, found several major health code violations, including cockroach infestations and unsafe food handling practices.

Yummy Pizza is known for serving a variety of late-night pizza and unique desserts. According to the inspection report, the violations included:
- The handwashing sink was obstructed by batter and fries and could not be used.
- The inspection report noted that the food was stored at improper temperatures. Cooked chicken was held at 120°F, below the required hot holding temperature.
- A proper sanitizer bucket was not present near the food preparation area.
- The restaurant failed to provide the required food handler certification.

- The inspection report noted signs of a cockroach infestation. Live and dead cockroaches were observed in kitchen traps. Dead cockroaches were also found under the prep sink.
- Ten live insects of different sizes were noticed on the floor, under the food prep sink, inside, and around the reach-in cooler.

Follow-Up Inspection

According to the official health inspection report, Yummy Pizza had its health permit suspended during the inspection. The establishment must submit required documents, including a pest control report, before a follow-up inspection can be scheduled.
