A sophisticated dual concept is coming to NoHo that will blend an “apéro café” and a made-to-measure T-shirt shop. According to application documents with the city, the Grey Heron Café side of the business planned for 2 Bleeker St. aims to transition from a specialty coffee destination in the morning into an evening retreat inspired by the European concept of apéro: unwinding before dinner with a light cocktail and snacks.
The morning and lunchtime hours will emphasize upscale coffee and teas, while cocktails and wine will be the focus later in the day. The food menu highlights artisanal sandwiches such as the Jambon Beurre, featuring country ham and cultured salted butter on a baguette, and a Chicken Avocado with radish and Dijon. For those with a sweet tooth, the cafe will serve a variety of pastries, such as Kouign-Amann and Yuzu Madeleines, as well as plated desserts like Pot du Crème.
The beverage program is remarkably diverse, featuring a curated selection of signature cocktails, such as the Grey Espresso Martini with cardamom foam and the Bleecker St Spritz, alongside a robust low-ABV and non-alcoholic menu. Wine enthusiasts can look forward to a refined list including Albariño and Pinot Noir, while beer drinkers can enjoy Italian-style pilsners and kölschs.
This elevated service is uniquely integrated into the Atany side of the business, which is a retail clothing operation featuring bespoke T-shirt tailoring. Guests can lounge in a 20-seat space defined by mid-century aesthetics and lush greenery while waiting for their shirt to be tailored, sipping on a drink, or enjoying small bites of European fare.
