Charlotte is preparing to welcome a new Irish-inspired gastropub this week in its SouthPark neighborhood. Opening on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, The Craic is designed to be an all-day gathering spot. The dining destination will offer brunch, lunch, dinner, and late-night drinks.

The name “Craic” comes from a Gaelic word that means fun, conversation, and connection. The restaurant will bring a warm atmosphere and an approachable dining experience. The spot will stay open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and will serve food until 1 a.m.

“We wanted to create a place that feels welcoming from the moment you arrive,” said Parker Starre, co-owner and general manager. “It’s a place where professionals can meet for lunch, families feel comfortable at dinner, and regulars can settle in late at night and feel completely at home.”

The Craic also offers ample free parking nearby. Guests can also watch sports on more than 20 TVs at the restaurant. The spot has also planned live music and events for the future.
