Starla’s, the acclaimed pizzeria and wine bar formerly based in Bellingham, is preparing a reopening in Seattle. According to the company’s official website, it is expected to open in late 2026 or early 2027.

The concept served its final day in Bellingham on March 28. The closure came shortly after chef and co-owner Jordan Koplowitz was named a semifinalist for the James Beard Awards. A new address has not yet been confirmed.

Co-owners Koplowitz and Christy Wyble attributed the decision to a planned move back to Seattle. In a post shared on the restaurant’s Instagram account, the team confirmed the transition and hinted at what’s next for the concept:

“We have decided to move back to Seattle and we’re bringing Starla’s with us. Expect a legit pizzeria, expect table service, expect more pies. Maybe a cold martini? No signed lease yet. To our Bellingham friends, we hope to see you in the city.”

In Bellingham, Starla’s worked with a menu that mixed sourdough pizzas and a few small plates. There were options like Calabrese, sausage and olive, pepperoni with peppers, and the classic cheese, along with Caesar salad, marinated olives, focaccia with cultured butter, and some lighter salads. For now, there is no indication whether the Seattle location will keep the same menu or make any changes.
