After a very long wait, the brick-and-mortar home of Naked Kitchen is expected to open in May in the Phoenix Arts & Innovation District. Years in the making, the restaurant is working with the goal of Memorial Day weekend grand opening, a representative told What Now on Tuesday. (The precise opening timeline still has not been finalized, however.)
The Naked Kitchen approach is one that brings together foods from a wide variety of cuisines to create memorable and healthy dining. “‘Cooking with Conscience’ is the forefront of our brand’s standard,” says the Naked Kitchen website.
“Alongside a warm, inviting and social atmosphere our guests will enjoy comforting, healthy, and delicious scratch food from a menu of traditional and new favorites done in a nourishing health-[conscious] manner. Taking ingredients from around the world and accessing a ‘food is medicine’ mentality, we have created a vision to deliver a truly unique experience for our community.”
Menus posted on the Naked Kitchen website include dishes like Pork Belly Hash (hash potato, kimchi butter, caramelized onions, local green onion, two eggs, choice of pork belly or soy chorizo) and Miso Maple Sourdough Pancakes (charred stone fruit, lemon whipped house ricotta, miso maple syrup, miso sesame brittle, side of pickled veggies).
On the lunch side are Sandos like the Kimchi Grilled Cheese and Nashville Chicken Sliders, plus Features like Beef Rendang (Indonesian style braised chuck in aromatic coconut broth, Jasmine rice, pickled fresno peppers, side of collards) and Koji Ragu (ground Koji aged chuck & ground pork shoulder, heirloom tomato, slow cooked and served with fresh pappardelle pasta).
Co-owner Brian Nelson told What Now on Tuesday that more details on the opening are soon to be released to the public, so stay tuned for more info coming soon!
