This week, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported on the opening of the second Northeast Florida location for Saucy, the new chicken tender concept by KFC. The brand debuted in the area on March 23 at 4816 Gate Parkway, and this week, it launched a second outpost at 194 N Florida Road 13 in Julington Creek.

“Another Saucy restaurant is planned at 3260 Hodges Blvd,” the coverage added.

What Now reported on the planned FL-13 Saucy back in January.

“Saucy! by KFC is a chicken tenders brand, but really—as the name indicates—the tenders are more like a canvas for the brand’s sauces,” said the What Now coverage. “They include Thai Sweet ‘N Spicy, Jalapeno Pesto Ranch, Creole Honey Mustard, Chimichurri Ranch, Korean Sweet Heat, and more. There are also the brand’s signature desserts: Puffies, served with caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, or raspberry sauce.”

Like many of the Saucy by KFC locations that have started popping up all over Florida, the 3260 Hodges Blvd will have previously served as a PDQ location.

Opening there, Saucy will join Hodges Pointe Plaza, a retail center anchored by a Walmart Supercenter that is home to a wide variety of restaurants, including Bronx House Pizza, IHOP, Miller’s Ale House, Hong Kong Bistro & Dim Sum, and lots more.
