A Florida-based breakfast franchise is heading to Northern California.

Keke’s Breakfast Cafe, a subsidiary of Denny’s, will open three locations across the Sacramento region through a franchise deal led by longtime Denny’s operators Neetu and Sanjeev Bali, confirmed a company representative.

Founded in 2006, Keke’s is celebrated for its elevated diner-style comfort food, offering a range of breakfast and lunch staples. Guests can expect classics like pancakes, waffles, omelets, and eggs prepared to order in the morning hours, alongside lunch options such as sandwiches, paninis, wraps, and salads. Beverage offerings include coffee, tea, soft drinks, and a selection of brunch-friendly cocktails such as mimosas, Bellinis, and sangria.

While specific Sacramento sites have not yet been selected, the Balis are currently exploring locations in Roseville, Rocklin, Folsom, and the broader Greater Sacramento area. They plan to secure their first location by late 2026, with the inaugural opening slated for early 2027 and additional sites to follow.

“We are very excited to bring Keke’s Breakfast Cafe to Sacramento,” the Balis told What Now Sacramento, adding that the concept stood out for its sunny, uplifting energy. They were especially drawn to the brand’s Florida roots, which they described as being “like sun on your skin and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.”

“It’s widely known that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and there’s something special about the morning,” they continued. “It’s the beginning of a new day, it’s a fresh start, and we’re honored to be a part of that energy with a fresh cup of coffee and a friendly face.”

Part of the appeal, they noted, is also practical. Keke’s operates from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., a schedule that aligns with their busy lifestyle. “Being open for breakfast and brunch means we get to work while the sun is up but still be home in time for dinner with our own family,” they said, emphasizing the flexibility the model allows.

More broadly, the Balis see Keke’s as a neighborhood gathering place rooted in community. “We want to create that ‘neighborhood go-to’ where regulars feel like family and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming… Ultimately, we want to build on an already radiant brand, Keke’s, and bring to Sacramento a community staple, fueled by genuine hospitality and the simple joy of a morning well spent.”
