A new dumpling destination appears to be headed to Roseville.

Lao Hu Tong Dumpling House is slated to move into the former Romano’s Macaroni Grill location at 2010 Douglas Blvd in the Rocky Ridge Town Center, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. The Italian chain shuttered its Roseville location last year, leaving behind a sizable, high-visibility space.

While owner Zundi Chen has not yet responded to requests for comment, a recently filed business entity with the California Secretary of State supports plans for the incoming concept. Leasing materials from Phillips Edison & Company, Inc., which owns the shopping center, further confirm activity tied to the space.

Though details on Lao Hu Tong’s menu and opening timeline remain under wraps for now, the space itself spans 7,328 square feet, according to leasing materials.

Once open, the new eatery will join a well-trafficked retail hub already home to a mix of dining and lifestyle tenants, including Dos Coyotes Border Cafe, Starbucks, Noah’s New York Bagels, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Teaspoon, and Jamba.

Beyond food, the center features national brands like YogaSix, Orangetheory Fitness, Squeeze Massage, BevMo!, Pieology, AT&T, Wells Fargo, and European Wax Center.

Anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market and located near Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center and Maidu Regional Park, Rocky Ridge Town Center draws from a dense and affluent surrounding community, with a population exceeding 100,000 within a three-mile radius and an average household income topping $126,000.

Stay tuned for updates as Lao Hu Tong Dumpling House prepares to make its Roseville debut.
