A local Vietnamese coffee cart is putting down roots in downtown Sacramento.
Cà Phê Diễm is preparing to open its first brick-and-mortar at 1102 Q St, Suite 110, according to a recently filed commercial remodel permit. Plans for the space include an accessible service counter, updated appliances, and the installation of a grease interceptor.
Founded in 2024, Cà Phê Diễm has quickly built a following with drinks that blend tradition and creativity. “Cà Phê Diễm is a mobile coffee cart that celebrates the beauty of Vietnamese culture through coffee,” reads the café’s website. “Every creation is inspired by our Vietnamese heritage combined with our unique identity as second-generation Vietnamese American.”
At the café, guests can expect classic Vietnamese coffee alongside premium matcha drinks, many of which are finished with rich, house-made creams. Recent highlights shared on social media include a Hazelnut Cold Brew, French Vanilla Latte, and the Cara-mắm Matcha—a unique matcha latte featuring caramel fish sauce. Vegan, non-dairy, and caffeine-free options are also available.
Owner Sarah Ha—who also goes by Diem—has hinted at the upcoming opening on Instagram, posting a photo of a key envelope with the caption, “cafe coming soon 🤎.”
An opening date has not yet been announced.
