An Award-Winning Chocolatier Is Opening a Flagship Store in New York City

British chocolatier Chococo is soon to open its first U.S. flagship store in New York City. The store will combine a retail shop with a café-style experience. Guests can also take part in chocolate tastings and hands-on workshops.

Chococo is opening its flagship store in New York City on May 2, 2026. The opening follows the brand’s recent U.S. debut on the Upper East Side. The store is opening after the brand made its U.S. debut on the Upper East Side.

The brand is known for handcrafted chocolates made with responsibly sourced cocoa. It has won more than 130 national and international food awards. It focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients and ethical sourcing.

“Launching Chococo in the United States is an exciting new chapter, and New York felt like the perfect place to begin,” said Claire Burnet, Co-Founder of Chococo. “Our Chocolate Houses are an invitation to experience what chocolate can be when craftsmanship and sourcing are never compromised.”

The flagship cafe and store spans 1,220 square feet at 500 Madison Avenue between 52nd and 53rd streets. The store will offer a full Chocolate House experience where guests can take part in a chocolate tasting. Tastings will feature more than 100 chocolate varieties.

Guests can also join workshops to create and decorate their own chocolate bars. All chocolates are freshly made from bean-to-bar and shipped directly to the store.

Claire and Andy Burnet founded Chococo in England over 20 years ago. The company has since built a strong reputation for its handcrafted, award-winning chocolates. It sources cocoa from countries including Ecuador, Colombia, and Madagascar, adding to its popularity.

The New York flagship signals an important step in Chococo’s global growth. The location will introduce its award-winning chocolates and Chocolate House concept to the city.
