Public filings list the restaurant under the name Min’s Prime Cut Korean Steakhouse, which will be located at 634 W Davis St. The restaurant is owned by Chef Roy Ahn, who has owned and managed several sushi establishments in Texas, including Little Katana, Kome Sushi, Sushi Zen in Southlake, and Otaru in The Bishop Arts District.

The project is currently in the development phase. WhatNow Dallas contacted Roy Ahn, who said the restaurant is still several months away from opening. “We cannot provide an exact timeline yet, but we’ll probably have a better idea in about two months.”

However, according to information in the permit, the restaurant’s concept appears to shift from sushi to a premium Korean BBQ steakhouse.

The restaurant is planned for the heart of the Bishop Arts District in Dallas, one of the city’s most active dining and entertainment corridors, known for its strong pedestrian culture and nightlife presence. The space was previously occupied by Berkley’s Market, a neighborhood concept offering a coffee bar, prepared foods, groceries, beer, and wine.

In a call with WhatNow Dallas, Ahn noted that the business is still in its early stages, with an opening potentially coming within four to five months.
