Edley’s Bar-B-Que is preparing to open a new restaurant in Brentwood, according to recent reporting by the Nashville Business Journal. The upcoming location is planned for 330 Franklin Road, taking over the former McAlister’s Deli space at Brentwood Place.
The roughly 3,800-square-foot restaurant is expected to open by the end of the year and is reportedly set to bring around 50 jobs to the area, according to the Business Journal. The Brentwood outpost will mark Edley’s 12th location overall as the company continues expanding across Tennessee.
Founded in Nashville in 2011 by Will Newman, Edley’s Bar-B-Que has grown into a well-known regional barbecue brand with restaurants across the state. According to the company’s website and Instagram page, the concept is known for its slow-smoked barbecue and Southern-inspired comfort food offerings.
Menu items include brisket platters, pulled pork sandwiches, smoked wings, catfish, mac and cheese, cornbread, and banana pudding. Existing Middle Tennessee locations include restaurants in 12South, East Nashville, Sylvan Park, Donelson, Franklin, and Berry Farms.
In addition to its Tennessee locations, Edley’s has built a strong following around its neighborhood-focused restaurant model and longtime presence in Nashville’s barbecue scene. The company’s restaurants combine counter-service dining with full bar offerings, and several locations feature patios, live music programming, and community events, according to the brand’s website and social media channels.
Additional opening details for the Brentwood restaurant have not yet been announced.
