Baby Jane in Miami is set to close this weekend. The closure follows unsuccessful lease extension negotiations. The announcement surprised many in the community, with locals sharing farewell messages on social media.
Miami’s Baby Jane is Closing This Weekend
Baby Jane, the cocktail house and noodle bar will close after a decade at 500 Brickell Avenue on May 30.
Baby Jane has been a significant part of Miami’s culinary scene, serving the community with good food and vibes. It was founded by Jason Odio and Roman Jones in 2016 and became known for its live music and resident DJs. It became a nightlife hub, contributing to Brickell’s transformation into a more vibrant neighborhood.
The announcement of the closure also shares the reason behind the decision. The closure is due to the owners’ failure to extend their lease. This left the bar no choice but to close.

Customers’ Reactions
Baby Jane is known for its craft cocktails and Asian-inspired menu. Its brick walls and church pew seating gave it a distinctive and intimate feel. Along with its signature cocktails like the spicy passionfruit margarita and pineapple-mezcal Bebito, it became a popular choice for many.
Unfortunately, the closure is almost here, and this is the last time locals can enjoy the spot. Regulars have flooded the bar’s social media to share their memories of the spot.
One Instagram user wrote, “Had our first date here; married now. All the love to the Baby Jane team on an incredible run.”
Another Instagram user wrote, “Hate this. Thank you for the incredible run. Landlords will chase short-term tenants to the detriment of the community. I hope they start waking up.”
“Devastated” is an understatement. Thank you, guys, for everything you’ve done for Miami and for also giving me and plenty of other DJs a space to develop BABY JANE,” wrote another user.
Baby Jane’s closure marks the end of an era for Miami’s Brickell nightlife scene.
