Sonoma County craft beer fans may soon have another place to enjoy a pint from Old Caz Brewing Company. According to a recently filed California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control license application associated with Old Caz, the brewery appears to be preparing a second location at 90 S E ST, Suite 200, in Santa Rosa.

There has not been confirmation of an opening date, but the licensing activity signals the expansion might take place this year.

Founded in Rohnert Park by Tom Edwards and Bryan Rengel, Old Caz has built a loyal following with its lineup of craft beers and community-focused experience. The inspiration for the brewery’s name comes from Old Cazadero Road, a wild and overgrown back road linking Guerneville and Cazadero, a route the company describes on its website as “downright Jurassic.”

Beyond its rotating schedule of food trucks, the brewery serves an in-house lunch menu on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Featuring a regularly updated selection of dishes, such as the Old Caz Chicken Pesto Melt, featuring grilled chicken, mozzarella, tomato, red onion, pesto, and garlic aioli on focaccia, and the Roast Beef Sando, which combines roast beef, arugula, roasted peppers, horseradish mayo, and a roasted garlic brie spread on a toasted soft roll. Both sandwiches showcase hearty ingredients and bold flavors designed to pair well with the brewery’s craft beer selection.

While details about Old Caz Brewing Company’s second location have yet to be revealed, guests can likely expect many of the rustic touches that define the brewery’s flagship taproom, including handcrafted tables, redwood benches, a spacious 25-foot bar, and warm hardwood flooring.

The expansion would mark a significant milestone for Old Caz, which has grown from a small neighborhood brewery into one of Sonoma County’s prominent independent craft beer brands. The brewery currently operates its brewpub at SOMO Village, where it relocated and expanded operations in recent years.
