Goop Kitchen has signed a lease for space at 405 Howard St. in San Francisco’s Financial District, where it will occupy just under 2,000 square feet in Suite 130 for its sit-down dining outpost, according to The San Francisco Business Times. The company is also preparing a location at 5333 Adeline St. in Oakland, but timelines for the debut of either café remain unclear.
Co-founded by Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow in 2021, Goop Kitchen launched as a delivery-only concept before expanding into brick-and-mortar locations. Built around a philosophy of clean eating, the menu largely avoids refined sugars, processed foods, gluten, dairy, seed oils, corn, peanuts, and preservatives.
The company takes a rigorous approach to clean eating, emphasizing thoughtfully sourced, whole ingredients in every dish. Its proteins include organic free-range chicken and sustainably sourced salmon from Norway’s fjords, certified by organizations such as Best Aquaculture Practices, Global G.A.P., and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council. Whenever possible, produce is sourced from local organic farms
On Goop Kitchen’s website, co-founder Gwyneth Paltrow emphasizes that healthy eating should never come at the expense of taste. “Goop Kitchen exists at the intersection of true deliciousness, bold flavors, and wellness,” she says. “Our food marries longevity and pleasure, two things that usually don’t go together.”
