Humili, a new restaurant, is planned for San Diego’s University Heights neighborhood at 4615 Park Boulevard.

The new concept is expected to move into the former Red House Pizza space, according to a recent liquor license application. An exact opening date has not been announced, and the filing indicates the project is still in early development. The ownership group includes Giorgio Corletti, Giovanni Siracusa, Sandro Lattenero, and Michael Massaro. Customers can expect additional details about the menu and concept as the project progresses.

Chef and partner Giorgio Corletti is leading the concept. Corletti is an Italian-born chef raised in Italy and born in New York, trained under chef Gianfranco Vissani. He has worked in restaurants in Italy and the San Francisco Bay Area and is currently chef and partner at Nado Republic in Coronado. He is also a co-founder of Decore in East Village, which opened in spring 2025 in the former Café Chloe space.

Corletti joined Nado Republic in 2021 and later became co-owner alongside Sandro Lattenero. The restaurant focuses on traditional Italian hospitality, seasonal ingredients, and housemade dishes. Decore is a modern Italian restaurant centered on handmade pasta and classic technique. The name comes from the Roman dialect meaning “with heart.”

The Humili project continues the group’s expansion of Italian concepts across San Diego County. Menu details have not been released, but the team’s restaurants emphasize handmade pasta, seasonal sourcing, and classic Italian cooking techniques. Additional information is expected as the project develops.

University Heights remains a steady dining corridor in San Diego, with consistent foot traffic along Park Boulevard. The former Red House Pizza space has been vacant since its closure, and Humili will add to the neighborhood’s mix of restaurants and casual dining options.
