According to public filings, Barnes & Noble is planning to open a new store at 2329 Porter Creek Drive, within the open-air shopping and dining destination Presidio Towne Crossing. Barnes & Noble, the largest bookstore chain in the United States, focuses on bookselling, promoting literacy, hosting community events, and creating spaces where customers can browse and discover titles they may not have actively searched for online. According to the company’s website, the national bookseller currently operates 17 locations in the Fort Worth area, with the Porter Creek store set to become its 18th.

WhatNow Dallas reached out to Barnes & Noble to gather more information but did not receive a response by press time. The new 11,925-square-foot store is currently scheduled to complete construction alterations by the end of November.

As previously reported by USA Today in December 2025, Barnes & Noble planned to open approximately 60 stores nationwide in 2026. While several of those openings were expected by June, the Presidio Towne Crossing location is on a later timeline.

The project is positioned within Fort Worth’s rapidly expanding Alliance corridor. Presidio Towne Crossing is located near AllianceTexas, one of the region’s largest employment hubs, and the surrounding area has experienced significant residential growth in recent years.
