A premium gelato concept is coming to one of Frisco’s most anticipated mixed-use developments. According to public filings, I Scream Gelato plans to open at 5302 Dallas Parkway, Suite 600, within The Mix — Phase 1.
What Now Dallas reached out to franchisee Rameez Nizar, who confirmed that the opening is targeted for January or February 2027, pending construction timelines.
I Scream Gelato is an Italian gelato concept that brings authentic, premium gelato made with high-quality ingredients. The brand distinguishes itself through its artisanal approach, with small-batch gelato crafted using traditional Italian techniques and an emphasis on fresh, natural flavors.
Nizar told What Now Dallas that his vision for the new location is to create a special space for the community. “We want every visit to feel joyful, memorable, and special,” he said.
The Mix was a deliberate choice. “We believe it will become one of Frisco’s most vibrant gathering places. It felt like the perfect home for our gelato store,” Nizar said, pointing to the development’s proximity to Lebanon Road and the Dallas North Tollway, in the heart of Frisco.
With Whole Foods Market, future residences, hotels, and green spaces also planned for The Mix, Nizar sees the development becoming one of the city’s premier gathering places.
The area is also surrounded by major destinations and developments, including The Star and Universal Kids Resort. For Nizar, the Frisco opening is about more than creating a dessert destination.
“We look forward to welcoming the community with premium, authentic gelato and an elevated experience unlike anything else in Frisco. We cannot wait to open our doors and share a little happiness, one scoop at a time,” he told What Now Dallas.
What Now Dallas has previously covered the growing dining scene at The Mix, including MiYa, the Dallas-born Chinese concept bringing handmade dumplings and hand-pulled noodles to the same development.
