Lucky Asian Fusion is preparing to expand into North Carolina with a new restaurant planned for Ridgewood Shopping Center, located at 3540 Wade Avenue, according to a report by Raleigh Magazine. The restaurant will occupy a space facing Ridge Road next to Ridgewood Wine & Beer.

The modern sushi concept from EAT Restaurant Partners is expected to open by the end of the year, marking the brand’s first location in the state.

“We really like that area,” Chris Tsui, president of Eat Restaurant Partners, told the publication. “It’s a great location with great demographics in a pretty well-established center.”

Raleigh Magazine reported that Lucky Asian Fusion is known for combining a lively atmosphere with a broad menu of sushi and Asian-inspired dishes. Plans for the new restaurant include high ceilings, outdoor seating, a bar and lounge area, and décor featuring the brand’s signature lucky cat mascot.

The concept currently operates in the Richmond, Virginia, market, where it has built a following for both traditional and specialty sushi rolls. According to Raleigh Magazine, menu offerings include signature creations such as the Boujie AF roll, featuring tempura lobster topped with seared steak and caviar, as well as the Release the Kraken and Harley Quinn specialty rolls.

In addition to sushi, guests can expect bento boxes, tempura, teriyaki dishes, and a variety of appetizers. The beverage menu is also expected to include cocktails, beer, wine, and sake.

The upcoming opening arrives as Ridgewood Shopping Center continues a broader revitalization effort. Raleigh Magazine reported that the center has recently undergone improvements, including updated storefronts, new roofing, and other property enhancements. Lucky Asian Fusion will join existing tenants such as Drift Cafe, Taco Bamba, and Whole Foods Market.

Tsui also told the publication that additional restaurant concepts from EAT Restaurant Partners could eventually make their way into the Raleigh market if both Lucky Asian Fusion and Wong’s Tacos prove successful there.
