Fogo de Chão is coming to 8030 Renaissance Parkway, Suite 885, bringing its Brazilian churrasco experience to The Streets at Southpoint. According to a recent Facebook post from Raleating, the restaurant is planning a Durham location in the former Uncle Julio’s space, marking another Triangle addition for the Brazilian steakhouse.
Raleating reports that the Southpoint restaurant is part of Fogo de Chão’s expansion into the Triangle, with the Durham location joining a second planned restaurant in the area.
Fogo de Chão describes its concept as being centered on churrasco, the Brazilian tradition of roasting meats over an open flame. According to the company’s website, its signature experience features Brazilian-trained gaucho chefs carving fire-roasted cuts tableside, alongside a Market Table and Feijoada Bar.
The menu includes Brazilian staples and a selection of fire-roasted meats, with the company highlighting cuts such as picanha, filet mignon, ribeye and lamb. The restaurant’s Market Table also features salads, vegetables and other accompaniments.
The Durham arrival will give Southpoint a new full-service dining option focused on the tableside churrasco format. Raleating reports that an opening date has not yet been announced.
Raleating also notes that Fogo de Chão is planning another Triangle location in Raleigh, making the Durham restaurant part of the brand’s broader expansion in the region.
