A Los Angeles based hospitality group is getting ready to play a new tune for DC residents. Ten Five Hospitality is getting ready to debut Bernadette’s, a cozy but elevated piano lounge in the District, adding another concept to its regional roster.

Bernadette’s will be welcoming music and cocktail enthusiasts at 1218 Wisconsin Avenue NW. The piano bar will be located above another upcoming Ten Five establishment called the Oak Room-“an American steakhouse through the lens of refined French technique”. The two concepts will be filling the void left by El Centro when it vacated the building.

Bernadette’s is on track to become a prime destination for folks hoping to enjoy a sophisticated and adult evening out. The website describes the bar as “an intimate piano lounge offering classic cocktails and live music in a warm, refined setting that feels timeless, intimate, and elevated.”

Bernadette’s has not yet announced an opening date. It is poised to open in the not-too-distant future, when guests can look forward to sipping a cocktail in the establishment’s warm and welcoming environment, described on the Party Slate website as “Inspired by Art Deco elegance, burgundy velvet banquettes, antique mirrors, brass detailing, and warm ambient lighting frame the room, anchored by a restored 1920s Steinway and nightly performances that set the tone.” The space will be able to seat up to 35 visitors and has a maximum capacity of 50.
