Shang Artisan Noodle continues to expand its reach across the Valley. The brand has been eyeing the Downtown area for some time now. According to a City of Las Vegas permit, Shang Artisan Noodle is now set to open in the Downtown Las Vegas area along Carson Avenue Restaurant Row at 211 S Las Vegas Blvd 100.
While the permit does not detail when exactly the new eatery will open. The brand did mention the upcoming opening in an Instagram post. The post shared that the opening is slated for Spring.
What Now Las Vegas reached out to Shang Artisan Noodle General Manager Homan Wan and founder Shudong Huang for confirmation and more details about the upcoming opening, but we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“The art of noodle making is an ancient practice in China, with the earliest records dating between 25-200 A.D. Shang Artisan Noodle focuses on the traditions specific to Shan-Xi, a landlocked northern province where wheat cultivation thrives,” the Shang Artisan Noodle website reads.
“Here, the labor-intensive, centuries-old technique of kneading and hand-pulling dough is still executed by skilled artisans with deft hands. Silken and springy in equal measure, the noodles are used in a diverse array of hot and cold dishes that reflect the unique culture of this particular region.”
Huan founded the brand in 2016. Rooted in the street food culture of his hometown in Southern China and traditional Shan-Xi province recipes, Huang established the restaurant to celebrate handmade, hand-pulled, and knife-shaved noodles.
