The Journey of Park Tavern
Park Tavern’s journey started in 2011, according to a report by SFGATE. When the restaurant opened, owners James Nicholas and Anna Weinberg partnered with chef Jennifer Puccio. Throughout the next decade, Park Tavern became a local landmark until it was faced with several difficulties related to fluctuating ownership, the pandemic, and financial challenges.
The restaurant closed in 2023 but was reopened in November 2024 by Nicholas and celebrated chef Jonathan Waxman.
The restaurant’s menu features a variety of starters, salads, fresh seafood, handmade pastas, and signature entries, as well as Waxman’s famous roast chicken and California-inspired dishes. The restaurant also boasts a select wine list, craft cocktails, and desserts, creating a dining experience that combines local hospitality with upscale cuisine.
