Mary’s Gourmet Salads, a San Diego-based fast casual restaurant specializing in made-to-order salads, soups, and healthy fare, is getting ready to open a new location in San Diego at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Upas Street.
The company’s third location is set to open in Bankers Hill, according to San Diego Magazine. While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, the restaurant will be located in the Park Summit building, which is also home to She Rode West, the new concept from the Cowboy Star team. The expansion will bring Mary’s Gourmet Salads beyond its existing locations in La Jolla and Ocean Beach. Customers can expect a menu centered on salads, soups, beverages, and grab-and-go items.
Mary’s Gourmet Salads has built its reputation around fresh ingredients and customizable menu options. Customers can choose from a variety of signature salads or create their own meals using greens, vegetables, proteins, and housemade dressings. The concept offers a mix of vegetarian, vegan, and protein-focused options, making it suitable for a range of dining preferences.
Popular menu items include the Super Food salad with kale, quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, and avocado, and the East Coast salad with roasted chicken, turkey, bacon, mozzarella, and avocado. Other offerings include the Santa Fe, Thai Crunch, Chinese Chop, and Harvest Cobb salads. The menu also features the Gold Coast Soup, a vegan and gluten-free favorite made with chickpeas and turmeric.
Mary’s Gourmet Salads currently operates two locations, one in La Jolla at 723 Pearl Street and another in Ocean Beach at 1929 Cable Street. The Bankers Hill restaurant will become the company’s third location and continue its growth throughout San Diego County.
This will be an excellent landing space for Mary’s Gourmet Salads. Bankers Hill continues to attract both residents and visitors thanks to its proximity to Balboa Park and downtown San Diego. The new location will give neighborhood customers easier access to the brand’s lineup of salads, soups, and quick-meal options.
