Four Fingers LLC has formally turned to bankruptcy protection. The company currently operates under its business name Salt and Lime Modern Mexican Grill, which is a Mexican restaurant chain.

The filing comes as many restaurant operators continue to face rising costs and financial pressure. Several restaurant operators, including Tex-Mex concepts and longtime diners, have sought bankruptcy protection in recent months.

The current operator of Salt and Lime Modern Mexican Grill submitted its petition on June 15, 2026. Authorized representative Sandra E Van Derra signed the petition on behalf of the Scottsdale-based restaurant operator prior to filing.

Case filings show a wide gap between the estimated assets and liabilities.

Court filings describe Four Fingers LLC as a small business debtor that elected to proceed under Subchapter V of Chapter 11.

In addition to Scottsdale, the restaurant chain operates locations in Cave Creek and Phoenix.

The petition mentioned that The Tavern Bar & Tacos, LLC elected to proceed using Subchapter V. The restaurant in downtown Orlando has been offering Mexican-themed brunches and breakfasts for nearly five years.

JIB Foods Inc. sought bankruptcy relief using a Chapter 11 filing on February 4, 2026. Case records showed that the company hoped to readjust its debts under a Subchapter V process. The company functions as Pete’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, which has been serving a range of pizzas and cocktails for over four decades.

After decades of operations, a longstanding bar & grill restaurant in Evanston, Chicago, turned to bankruptcy on January 20, 2026. Firehouse Grill Inc. stepped into the proceedings while facing a financial imbalance. Its filing came nearly four years after the restaurant’s owner acquired Bluestone, a New American seafood staple.

A BBQ restaurant in Plano, Texas, entered bankruptcy on July 23, 2025, after around six years of operations. While it operates as Burnt BBQ & Tacos, the filing was made under its legal name, Burnt LLC. The petition showed a financial disparity between the estimated assets and liabilities.
