Motek is bringing its Mediterranean-inspired cuisine to Fort Lauderdale with the opening of Motek By The Sea, slated to debut in November 2026 at the W Fort Lauderdale Hotel, located at 401 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard. The new restaurant will take over the oceanfront space occupied by Stephen Starr’s El Vez, marking Motek’s first location in Fort Lauderdale and Broward County and the brand’s 10th restaurant in South Florida

The restaurant is being developed by Happy Corner Hospitality in partnership with Marriott and Blackstone. Spanning approximately 12,000 square feet, Motek By The Sea will offer seating for 315 guests across indoor and outdoor dining areas overlooking Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Founded by Charlie Levy, Motek has grown from a single Miami location into one of South Florida’s best-known Mediterranean restaurant brands, earning a following for its Israeli-inspired dishes, all-day dining and warm hospitality.

“We’re honored that Blackstone and Marriott invited us to bring Motek to the W Fort Lauderdale,” Levy said in a statement. “This is a meaningful step for us, a chance to share our food and our hospitality with a new community in a truly remarkable setting.”
