The wildly popular café concept has returned to its roots. A new Crema Gourmet is slated to open at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami on June 25. The opening highlights the connection between the brand and four FIU alumni who are longtime franchise partners and among Crema Gourmet’s largest franchisees.
Four FIU Alumni Bring Crema Gourmet Back to Campus
For longtime franchise partners Angel Sanchez, Manny Vadillo, Danny Mugnai, and Julio Almeyda, the new location marks a return to the university where they first met. The four entrepreneurs first got together as members of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Florida International University.
Their friendship continued after graduation, and years later they became key franchise partners of Crema Gourmet.
The new coffee shop will officially open on June 25 at 795 SW 110th Ave. in Miami. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Jose ‘Pepe’ Diaz will be held at 10 a.m., and a celebration will follow till 2 p.m.
Visitors can enjoy an appearance by the FIU mascot, Roary, and exclusive giveaways. The first 100 attendees will receive a raffle ticket to win free coffee for a year.
The location is expected to be a gathering place for students. It will offer a convenient spot for study sessions, meetings, coffee breaks, and casual dining.
