John’s Crazy Socks has opened its first retail store in Huntington Village after nearly a decade as an online business. The launch began with a ribbon-cutting event on June 25, 2026.
The celebration continues through the weekend with kids’ activities, treats, music, and other community events.
John’s Crazy Socks Debuts First Physical Store
The sock brand, known for its colorful and novelty designs, was founded in 2016 by John Cronin and his father Mark. After years of customer requests for a brick-and-mortar location, the duo finally opened their first location at 328A Main Street in Huntington Village.
According to Patch, the 2,400-square-foot facility, which is located in a courtyard near Main Street, also includes the company’s distribution center and podcast studio. The store features a bright, colorful interior that reflects the brand’s playful identity.

Focus on Inclusion Training and Community Building
Through its retail store, John’s Crazy Socks emphasizes creating job opportunities for individuals with differing abilities. The idea seems influenced in part by John Cronin, who has Down syndrome.
The store prepares to serve through its Abilities Rising Job Training Academy. The academy will prepare participants for careers in retail and warehouse operations, building on the company’s existing workforce training programs. These programs have involved schools and social service agencies across Long Island and other regions, training them for the company’s operations and workplace environment.
The store will also offer the locals community events, including sock design contests, tours to schools and social service agencies, and partnerships with local organizations.
With its debut storefront, John’s Crazy Socks brings together retail operations, training initiatives, and community engagement programs in Huntington Village.
