Trulieve may be doubling down on its Texas expansion. According to public filings, there are plans for a second dispensary in the state, this time in Austin.

The multistate medical cannabis operator plans to open at 13000 N. IH-35, Building 11, Suite 108, in a commercial corridor along one of Austin’s busiest highways, with construction completion targeted for September 2026. What Now Austin reached out to Trulieve representatives, but the company declined to speak publicly about the project at this time.

The IH-35 location places the dispensary in North Austin, a densely populated stretch that connects the city’s urban core to its rapidly growing northern suburbs, offering high visibility and easy access for patients across Travis County and beyond.

The Austin filing follows a previously reported Dallas location on Spring Valley Road. Together, the two filings suggest the company is moving quickly to establish a footprint in the state following its conditional approval of a Dispensing Organization license from the Texas Department of Public Safety in December 2025, according to Cannabis Business Times.

The Texas Compassionate Use Program (TCUP) framework allows licensed organizations to cultivate, manufacture, and distribute low-THC cannabis products to qualifying patients with conditions including PTSD, chronic pain, and epilepsy.
