A new grocery concept is preparing to open at 149 E. Davie Street in downtown Raleigh later this year. Wolfside Urban Market is targeting a fall debut at the corner of Davie and South Blount streets, taking over the former DGX convenience store space, according to a recent post from Raleigh Downtown.
The location has been vacant since DGX closed in December 2024. Once open, the market will expand grocery options for residents, workers, and visitors in the city’s downtown core.
According to Raleigh Downtown’s Instagram, Wolfside Urban Market will stock a mix of grocery essentials alongside locally made gifts, beer, wine, and gourmet food items. The store also plans to feature a deli serving made-to-order sandwiches, as well as a selection of grab-and-go meals designed for customers looking for quick dining options.
The addition comes as downtown Raleigh continues to see new retail and food-and-beverage investment. Wolfside Urban Market is expected to join other grocery destinations in the area, including Publix and Weaver Street Market, helping provide more convenient shopping options for the growing downtown community.
WhatNow Charlotte reached out to representatives at Wolfside Urban Market but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
