A Five Guys franchise group is in expansion mode and Charles Village is in its sights. Rockham 5G-one of the top 3 Five Guys franchise groups in the country-is awaiting construction permits for its new area location and is ready to roll once approval comes through.

The beloved burger and fry shop will be setting up base at 3220 Saint Paul Street, taking over the space vacated by Trek Bicycle. Rockham 5G’s director of operations in Maryland Thomas Russell was kind enough to confirm the location with What Now DC, stating that the storefront spans about 3,000 square feet and will have seating for approximately 70 customers.

Rockham 5G is hoping to have the Charles Village location open before the year is out. Five Guys will be a boon to both the area fast-casual dining scene and the local economy. Russell states that the eatery will employ about 50 staff members.

News of this new location comes hot on the heels of Rockham 5G’s most recent Five Guys opening. The busy group launched a 600 E. Pratt Street storefront earlier this week. Guests can stop in to satisfy their cravings from 10 am to 11 pm daily.

The Charles Village Five Guys is part of a larger push made by the chain. Russell explains that all franchisees are actively scouting new locations with the hopes of opening around 700 locations in the next 5 to 7 years.
