LowCountry Steak Announces Closure in Midtown Atlanta
LowCountry Steak was an upscale Southern steakhouse on West Peachtree Street. Chef G. Garvin and restaurateur TC Mosby co-founded the restaurant. The restaurant served a Southern-inspired steakhouse menu influenced by the Lowcountry region.
The notice states that the restaurant has closed and thanks customers for their support. The owners did not share the reason for the restaurant’s closure.
The announcement reads, “Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of serving thousands of guests—from first dates and anniversaries to business dinners, birthdays, and celebrations of every kind. We are grateful you chose us to be part of those moments, and after an incredible run, the time has come for LowCountry Steak to close its doors.”
According to a report by Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta, the employees learned of the closure the morning after its last service. They received the news that they were out of a job via a group chat.

Customers React to LowCountry Steak’s Closure
The restaurant was a go-to dining destination in Midtown for over five years. The announcement prompted customers to share messages of support and disappointment on social media.
One customer wrote on Instagram, “Didn’t get a chance to dine there, but I hate they closed. Loved the videos and watching the promotions. Much success in your future endeavors.”
Another customer wrote, “It was so nice having Chef Garvin cook my Bday dinner back in 2023. Hate I never got to go back.”
LowCountry Steak has permanently closed its Midtown Atlanta location. The owners have not shared a reason for the closure or announced any future plans for the space.
