Chef Mark Bolchoz is set to expand his culinary portfolio in North Charleston this fall.

The chef behind Semper Elevatum Hospitality Group is bringing his latest concept to the former Dashi space at 1262 Remount Road, according to The Post and Courier.

While details remain under wraps, Chef Bolchoz told the outlet the restaurant will blend coastal Lowcountry traditions with the spirit of western Irish pubs, serving fish and chips alongside Guinness poured in a proper pint glass.

The chef is no stranger to the restaurant industry. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he brings more than 15 years of kitchen experience and has earned numerous accolades, including recognition as one of Zagat’s 30 Under 30 Charleston chefs in 2016 and one of FSR Magazine’s 40 Rising Stars in 2024, the website reads.

His most recent endeavor was opening Cane Pazzo in Hanahan last summer alongside his wife, Ariana, a fellow Culinary Institute of America graduate. The restaurant is known for its old-school Italian fare with Lowcountry influences, including housemade pasta, wood-fired small plates and seafood.

Chef Bolchoz has not yet announced an official name or opening date for the new spot.
