Ari’s Pantry Closes Its Downtown Dallas Store

The downtown Dallas Italian grocery store closed down after only one year of operation. The Ari’s Pantry team shared the closure news on Facebook and explained that it was a difficult decision.

In the closure post, the team shared that the brand will be focusing on its other locations, including Coppell and Oak Cliff. With an optimistic tone, they added, “We look ahead to the next chapters of Ari’s Pantry.”

According to a CultureMap Dallas report, the Downtown Dallas location opened in May 2025. The Dallas store was the third location of the chain. The pantry opened its first location in Oak Cliff (Winnetka Heights) in December 2023.

The team thanked the community for its support and said, “To every customer who stopped in for coffee, lunch or gelato, picked up dinner, discovered a new favorite ingredient, or simply became a friend, thank you.”

The Story Behind the Pantry

The family-owned Italian gourmet market, Ari’s Pantry, was founded by Ari Lowenstein. Lowenstein launched Ari’s Pantry to bring authentic Italian flavors and traditions to the Dallas community. He has spent 10 years traveling through Italy and other countries.

“He learned the patience behind handmade pasta, the balance of a perfect tomato sauce, and the quiet joy of sharing a meal without rushing,” states the official website of the pantry.

The pantry chain offers selected Italian staple items, pasta, sauces, cheese, and other imported goods. In its brief period of operation, the store has become a neighborhood favorite for the community to experience Italian flavors and hospitality.

Even though the Downtown Dallas location is closed, the company encouraged customers to continue visiting its Coppell and Oak Cliff locations.
