Urban Golf Performance (UGP) is planning to expand to Dallas, according to the company’s website. An exact address and opening timeline have not yet been announced.
In an interview with What Now Los Angeles about the Woodland Hills opening, COO Leo Rooney said Dallas is one of several markets, along with San Diego and Scottsdale, that the company is targeting as part of its next phase of growth. part of its next phase of growth.
“We’re a pure performance facility where we work with every player that comes in,” Rooney told What Now Los Angeles. “We have a highly trained team that works with the best players in the world like Min Woo Lee. It’s an experience where any golfer can come into our facility and be treated like a tour player.”
Founded in 2013, Urban Golf Performance began inside a 300-square-foot training bay with the goal of rethinking how golfers improve. The company built its performance system around coaching, physical training, equipment fitting and recovery, all offered under one roof.
Urban Golf Performance currently operates locations across California, with facilities in West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Orange County and El Segundo, and is preparing to open a fifth Southern California location in Woodland Hills. The brand’s first location outside of California opened in Austin in 2024 and has become its flagship Texas facility, complete with contrast therapy rooms featuring sauna and cold plunge technology.
Rather than offering bay rentals like golf entertainment venues such as Topgolf, Urban Golf Performance provides private, appointment-only sessions built around a comprehensive assessment of each golfer’s swing, physical movement and equipment before a personalized development plan is created.
