Urban Golf Performance (UGP) is preparing to expand to Scottsdale, according to the company’s website, which lists the location as “coming soon.” The new facility will offer the company’s integrated approach to golf development, with coaching, fitness, recovery, club fitting, and club building available under one roof.
Founded in 2013 by CEO Mac Todd, Urban Golf Performance began inside a 300-square-foot training bay with the goal of rethinking how golfers improve. The company developed a performance system centered on coaching, physical training, equipment fitting, and recovery.
According to the company’s website, every golfer begins with a comprehensive assessment evaluating swing mechanics, physical movement, and equipment before receiving a personalized development plan.
Today, Urban Golf operates performance centers across California and Texas, serving golfers at every level, from beginners to tour professionals.
The upcoming Scottsdale location will mark the company’s first Arizona facility. The center is expected to offer golf coaching, golf-specific fitness, recovery services, club fitting, custom club building, and the company’s branded apparel and accessories.
An opening date has not yet been announced. What Now Phoenix reached out to Urban Golf Performance, and this article may be updated as more information becomes available.
