Sprouts Farmers Market is planning another expansion in its hometown, with a new store coming to Deer Valley Towne Center at 2829 W. Agua Fria Freeway in north Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the specialty grocer has signed a lease for the approximately 24,000-square-foot space currently occupied by Michaels. The store is expected to open in 2027, though a specific grand opening date has not yet been announced.
The Deer Valley location adds to Sprouts’ continued growth across Arizona.
The company’s website currently lists three additional Arizona stores as opening soon: Phoenix-CityNorth, opening July 24 at 20650 N. 56th St.; Buckeye-Verrado South, also opening July 24 at 20975 W. Roosevelt St.; and Mesa-Eastmark, scheduled to open September 18 at 5131 S. Ellsworth Rd.
Headquartered in Phoenix, Sprouts Farmers Market specializes in fresh produce, natural and organic groceries, bulk foods and vitamins.
Sprouts operates more than 480 stores across 25 states and employs approximately 36,000 team members.
With the three upcoming openings and the newly announced Deer Valley location, the retailer continues to expand its footprint in Arizona, where it already operates more than 50 stores.
