Osteria, a neighborhood staple, has announced plans to close its operations. The Italian restaurant located in the Collegeville region will serve its last dinner on August 1. The restaurant team shared the closure announcement on Facebook.
Collegeville’s Osteria Prepares for Final Service
Family-owned Italian restaurant and bar Osteria is located at 3835 W. Germantown Pike in Collegeville. The restaurant serves Italian dishes and features indoor dining, a full bar, and an outdoor patio. Menu offerings include dishes such as scallops, meatballs, and fettuccine Alfredo.
After 21 years, Osteria will permanently close its Collegeville location. The restaurant regularly hosts live music and other entertainment events. The restaurant features a wood-paneled dining room with a fireplace and full bar. The restaurant also offers an outdoor patio area with tented seating.
In the closure announcement post, the team shared an emotional note for its customers and said, “We will miss you all, but it’s time for us to retire. We’ve had a wonderful life here at Osteria.”
The restaurant owner, Roberto, thanked the community and especially the staff for their support and love. Following its closure announcement, several longtime customers of the restaurant expressed their disappointment on social media.
Some community members also shared heartfelt messages and fond memories in the comments. One of the customers wrote, “Our family enjoyed so many wonderful meals! Thank you! I will especially miss the perfectly prepared scallops! You will be missed for sure! Enjoy your well-deserved retirement!”
