Penn Station Sandwiches is bringing its East Coast-style subs to the Myrtle Beach area with two new locations.
Franchisee Eric Fairbanks, an eight-year Penn Station operator, will lead the new locations in partnership with Sait Perez through the brand’s Managing Owner Program.
Perez told What Now Charleston the Myrtle Beach area was a natural fit for Penn Station’s expansion, citing its popularity as a travel destination among visitors from the Midwest and Northeast.
“We saw an opportunity to bring a familiar favorite to people while they were on vacation, while also introducing [the brand] to the local community. We believe Myrtle Beach is the perfect market to grow the Penn Station Sandwiches brand,” Perez said.
The upcoming locations will reflect the brand’s signature atmosphere, which has defined Penn Station for more than 40 years.
“Our goal is to blend the updated look with the signature Penn Station colors and identity to create a fresh, welcoming atmosphere,” he said.
Penn Station serves grilled-to-order East Coast-style subs, sandwiches, wraps and bowls, featuring options such as cheesesteaks, chicken, Italian and deli favorites. The menu also includes fresh-cut fries, salads, hand-squeezed lemonade and cookies.
“I’ve always been a fan of the Philly Cheesesteak with onions, mushrooms, banana peppers, mayo, light mustard, and pizza sauce on the side. Over the past few months, though, I’ve been ordering many of our sandwiches on our 9-Grain bread because it’s outstanding. It’s become my new favorite way to enjoy the menu,” he said.
Perez said introducing Penn Station to a new market has been the most rewarding part of the process.
“Myrtle Beach is an untapped opportunity for our brand. There’s definitely a sense of pride in expanding into a destination as well known as Myrtle Beach,” he said.
The team is targeting a March 2027 opening Visit the Penn Station Sandwiches website and follow along on Instagram and Facebook for the latest updates.
