A beloved cafe and bakery chain is pouring into another New York City neighborhood as it continues to expand.

Maman, founded by Benjamin Sormonte and Elisa Marshall, will open at 250 W. 57th St. A company spokesperson told Whatnow New York City the cafe is targeting a late summer or early fall opening.

Maman opened its first cafe in SoHo in 2014 and has since grown to more than 50 locations across New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Washington, D.C., and the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario.

The cafe serves pastries, salads, soups, sandwiches and tartines.

Popular menu items include the croissant waffle topped with house-made caramel sauce and salted whipped butter; the “Papas Breakfast Bowl” with roasted potatoes, arugula, crispy bacon, caramelized onions, avocado, chipotle aioli and a sunny-side-up egg; and the bakery’s nutty chocolate chip cookie packed with macadamia nuts, almonds, walnuts and dark chocolate wafers.

To complement its menu, Maman offers an elevated coffee and tea program featuring seasonal beverages alongside signature favorites. Among the standouts is the Salted Tahini Honeycomb Latte, a drink popularized by New York City influencer Halle Kate, who has called it a favorite.

Maman is also partnering with Martha Stewart on a limited-time collaboration inspired by her love of seasonal ingredients and elevated comfort foods.

The team has not yet shared additional details about the upcoming cafe. Visit the Maman website and follow along on Instagram for the latest updates.
