Eataly Caffè, an Italian-inspired café concept, is headed to the Upper West Side this fall.
The café is an offshoot of Eataly, the global Italian marketplace and dining destination whose name means “Eating Italian.” It will open at 2252 Broadway at W. 81st St., according to the newopeningsnyc Instagram page.
The café will become Eataly Caffè’s fourth location, adding to its outposts at Rockefeller Center, Hudson Yards and Lexington Avenue. The company operates its Eataly markets in Flatiron, SoHo and Lower Manhattan.
Drawing inspiration from Italy’s renowned coffee bar culture, the café brings Eataly’s signature offerings to a quick-service format. Unlike the brand’s flagship locations, Eataly Caffè will feature exclusive quarterly menu items available in-store and through the café’s app.
The menu highlights freshly baked pastries, gelato and crafted espresso drinks, along with savory offerings such as Roman-style pizza alla pala, soups, salads, sandwiches and grab-and-go options.
Eataly Caffè serves Eataly’s signature coffee blend, made with 100% Arabica beans sourced from high-altitude farms in Central and South America and Ethiopia before being roasted in Italy, QSR reported.
