Bainbridge Island’s popular Vietnamese restaurant is preparing to shut down after two decades of service. Thuy’s team shared the closure announcement on social media. The restaurant has scheduled September 8, 2026, as its final day of service.
Thuy’s Vietnamese Restaurant to Close After Nearly 20 Years
A family-owned Vietnamese eatery is located at 403 Madison Lane North. The menu features Vietnamese dishes including pho, noodle bowls, and other traditional offerings.
Inspired by her hometown Phan Thiet, Vietnam, Thuy Nguyen founded the restaurant, which is popularly known as Thuy’s Pho House. She operates the restaurant with her family.
Nguyen first opened Cafe at Pavilion in 2008 before launching Roosters and later Thuy’s.
In the official closure announcement, they thanked the community for its support. They added, “Thank you for welcoming Thuy, supporting a small family business, and allowing her to be a small part of your lives. Your kindness, loyalty, and friendships have meant more than words can express.”
The owner of the restaurant hopes to spend time with family and “embrace this next season of life.”

Following the announcement, customers shared messages of appreciation and support on social media.
One of the customers commented, “Oh no! Bainbridge won’t be the same the next time I come back for a visit without you there. Thank you for the many years of wonderful meals and good conversations.”
Some community members also came forward and congratulated the owner for her retirement and said, “And just like that! Congratulations on your retirement and thank you so much for all that you have given to this community.”
Even though it has said farewell, Thuy’s team looks forward to its final weeks of operation. The team encourages the community to visit the restaurant and enjoy their favorite meal before its closing.
